GRAUC Goals
2007-2008
1. Prioritize community interests and expectations in relationship
to the distinctive missions of all three public higher education providers.
• Collaborate with public higher education institutions in ensuring
the facilities meet community program needs.
• Contribute to development of the strategic plans of the public
higher education institutions.
• Advocate for local public funding for public higher educational
needs
2. Advance the Rochester Higher Education Development Committee
(RHEDC) recommendations.
• Continue advocacy for the implementation of the recommendations
and the vision of the RHEDC report.
• Support the development of innovative reward systems based on
entrepreneurial developments within the University of Minnesota and
MnSCU.
• Support the development of innovative intellectual property
management systems that drive economic growth within the University
of Minnesota and MnSCU Systems
3. Expand advocacy for public higher education
• Participate in public processes for higher education leadership
appointments.
• Support higher education leadership in the Rochester legislative
delegation.
• Secure legislative support for facilities and programming at
the public higher education institutions.
4. Review and revise GRAUC's organization structure to maximize
effectiveness and efficiency.
• Secure private funding for GRAUC.
• Review the structure of the organization and bring appropriate
diverse expertise to the Board.
